NCAAF 2025-2026 Pre-Season Rankings and Predictions

2025-2026 Pre-Season Rankings and Predictions   To preface these rankings, I would like to account for my biases. As a Mountaineer, I have a heavy WVU bias, which in turn becomes a not-so-subtle Big 12 bias. I watch more Big 12 football than any other conference. Growing up in the Midwest, I may hold an unconscious bias, or at least a familiarity with the Big 10. However, my Dad unaffectionately referred to The Ohio State Buckeyes as the “suck-eyes,” so I likely hold bias against the reigning national champions. In my life, I have academic and professional ties to Ohio University, the University of Florida, and Florida State. The undisputed MAC champions did find their way into my top 25. Also of note: DJ Lagway and Nicco Marchiol have never lost a college football game that they have both started and finished. 1.  Clemson People love talking about “returning production,” often using it to justify sneaking a team like NC State into the top 25. But if that production was...

[TNP] Week 3 Thursday Night Parlay (Giants at 49ers)

[TNP] Week 3 Thursday Night Parlay (Giants at 49ers)   This is the SAN FRANDISCO +910 San Fransico -6.5pts -210 San Fransico 1 st half winner no push -340 Christan McCaffrey Anytime 1 st Half TD +100 Christan McCaffrey 60+ rushing yards -245 Deebo Samule 40+ receiving yards -250 Darren Waller Over 4.5 Receptions -104 This game might be a blow out or at least a controlled burn, so I wanted to keep the first half interesting. San Fransico is -10.5 favorite and I’m just asking that they win by a TD. If the 49ers are the team they claim to be, they should dismantle the Giants. 6.5 is just playing it safe. They beat the rams last week by 7 and that was with only one second half TD. This defense will not let the game get within 7. With that being said, I fully expect the 49ers to win the first half as well. They were leading at half vs 20-7 vs the steelers but were tied at the half vs the Rams 17-17. The Rams had to score two touchdowns in the second quarte...

Post-Week 2 Power Rankings

The Doc’s Fantasy Newsletter Post-Week 2 Power Rankings Last week’s power rankings predicted 1 of the 5 matchups correctly. This appears to be an extremely dynamic and hard to predict league. I believe that the rankings will become increasingly accurate as the season progresses and it becomes more apparent who the real WR1 ones are, how many points a RB can really get you, and what defenses should never be touched (Giants). Even the Beer’s lock of the week was wrong. Week 2 will not be remembered for its predictability. There is lots of movement in this week’s rankings. 1.        AG [Last Week 5] 2.        Logan [Last Week 2] 3.        Kenny [Last Week 8] 4.        Daniel [Last Week 4] 5.        Brett [Last Week 6] 6.        Beers [Last Week 3] 7.        C...

Week 3 CFB Parlay

Week 3 CFB Parlay I hear rumors from inside the PT House that the Alka Seltzer is helping to revive the boys on this beautiful September morning. For other health tips and tricks, feel free to reach out. Remember that college football players can be as young as 17 years old. Yelling will scare them; I hope to hear some wild chimp noises over the broadcast. This is the THROWN BATTERY PARLAY Penn State -14 [-110] Louisville ML [-360] Central Michigan +34.5 [-110] Cincinnati -14 [-110] 4 pick parlay +770 I’ll make this brief. Coach Franklin knows the spread (we found out the hard way) so he will cover under any circumstance. My friend, Jim told me during the week 1 Louisville vs Georgia Tech match up that “Louisville is nice.” He told me that when they were losing at the half and GT had scored 21 unanswered points. Jim was right and now Louisville is 2-0. I see 3-0 in their future. ND is awesome and will win comfortably vs Central Michigan. With their Ohio Stat...

[TNP] Week 2 Thursday Night Parlay (Vikings at Eagles)

[TNP] Week 2 Thursday Night Parlay (Vikings at Eagles)   I call this one BIRD +400 Eagles ML -255 AJ Brown anytime TD +100 AJ Brown Over 69.5 Receiving Yards -140 Mattison Over 34.5 Rushing Yards -350   Now for the TURBO BIRD +1100 Take the BIRD parlay and add the following Jalen Hurts Over 34.5 Rushing Yards -190 Justin Jefferson Anytime TD +110   *Disclaimer: some of the lines have moved since I created the Parlay   Eagles will win. That’s a lock. If a man on the street gave you $3, you would take it. AJ brown had 11 TDs last season, for 0.68TDs per game. He went scoreless in game one and will be begging Jalen for a chance to perform the TD celebration he has been preparing all off season. No way he plays two games in a row without sniffing the endzone. AJ Brown averaged 93.5 yards per game last year. He had 79 yards against a Belichick defense that had an entire preseason to prepare. The Vikings did only allow 169 total pass...

Post-Week 1 Power Rankings

The Doc’s Fantasy Newsletter Post-Week 1 Power Rankings Last week’s power rankings predicted 2 of the 5 matchups correctly. This is not the start I was hoping for. The offenses are broken around the league. The Bills, Chiefs, and Bengals lost. The only lock was the Dolphins. Fins up. 1. Zach [Last Week 4] 2. Logan [Last Week 2] 3. Beers [Last Week 7] 4.    Daniel [Last Week 3] 5. AG [Last Week 8] 6. Brett [Last Week 5] 7. Evan [Last Week 6] 8. Kenny [Last Week 1] 9. Kevin [Last Weel 10] 10. Chris [Last Week 9] Zach                    Calvin’s Casino                 Last week: 4               This week: 1 My biggest concern in the week 0 rankings was that Calvin Ridley would take a few games to get up to speed, Trevor Lawa...

[TNP] Week 1 Thursday Night Parlay (Lions at Chiefs)

Week 1 Thursday Night Parlay (Lions at Chiefs)   I call this one RUN THE DAMN BALL. Isiah Pacheco Over 51.5 rushing yards Jahmyr Gibbs Over 39.5 rushing yards David Montgomery Over 54.5 rushing yards Over 53.5 total points Odds: +1436 Here’s the deal. Isiah Pacheco averaged 48.8 rushing yards per game last year. This includes those early year games when Edwards-Helaire was getting a majority of the snaps. Even better, he averaged 4.9 yards an attempt last year. If the Chiefs hand him the ball 11 times, this hits. With Kelce’s knee concerns and no clear WR1, establishing a ground game will be crucial for the Chiefs. Jahmyr Gibbs averaged 6.1 yards a carry at Alabama. The Lions will want to feature him early and often, showing the fans why it may not be so taboo to draft a running back in the first round.   PFF ranks the Detroit offensive line as the number five overall unit going into week 1. David Montgomery will get his share too. Chris Jones is out,...
